Ceylon Silver Tips black leaf tea is one of the finest examples of Ceylon tea that we have tasted to date. This extra special tea has come about through near perfect growing conditions, geography and Sri Lanka's impeccable standards in tea production.
Our particular variety of Ceylon Silver Tips, has been cultivated in the Dimbula District of South East Sri Lanka. Here, the soil type and structure, coupled with high altitudes of between 2000 and 2500 feet and good annual rainfall has presented the correct environmental conditions for growing great quality tea.
So, to the taste! Shaped in a distinctive needle form, Ceylon Silver Tip black tea has a wonderful balanced aroma and soft honey like flavour. The body of this tea is fantastic for a Ceylon, that tend to be on the light side, where floral and citrus notes are smooth enough to be drunk on its own, yet strong enough to accept milk and / or sugar.
