Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is described as one of the most prized and highly sought after coffee's in the world. However, only 15% of coffee grown in Jamaica is authentic Blue Mountain coffee. Other varieties have been labelled in ways that could easily be mistaken for true 'Blue Mountain' coffee. We only sell 100% authentic Blue Mountain Coffee that can be traced back to the source.
The Blue Mountain region of Jamaica is located on the eastern point of the island and officially is restricted to coffees grown in the parishes of Portland, St Thomas and St Andrew. Our Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee comes from the Clydesdale Estate and unlike other coffees which are transported in 60kg hessian 'jute' sacks, Jamaican Blue Mountain is shipped to the UK in distinctive wooden barrels.
This is by far not an everyday drink, however, it is certainly one to try! An excellent cup, subtle delicacy and interesting acidity, in a class of its own.
