Silver Yunnan

£4.65

Silver Yunnan white tea originates from the Yunnan region of South Western China. The environment in which the tea bushes grow is absolutely unique. Mountainous ranges separate the region from the rest of China and until recently proved a barrier preventing many forms of communication with the outside world. The Yunnan mountain range, in which the tea plantations are situated, lie on plateaus at 1900 meters above sea level, a height which promotes excellent tea growing conditions. The spring like climate that exists all-year-round coupled with the superb soil types make this area one of the best tea growing regions in China and the world.

This Silver Yunnan tea is considered as a rare white tea, where only the best buds are plucked in the early spring, just before they open. Once the buds have been steamed and dried, the characteristic white, fur-like buds become even more distinct and the wonderful white tea aromas begin to form.

Silver Yunnan tea produces a pale infusion with a fresh, velvety smooth but lightly spiced aroma. This truly is a tea of exceptionally high quality.
