The roastery is fully operational.

All orders received after 10:00 on Tuesday 7th July up to 08:00 today, will be shipped today. All orders placed after 08:00 today, Thursday 9th July will ship on Friday 10th July.

*Royal Mail is seeing an increased demand on their services and we are expecting parcels to be delayed. Please be patient, but get in touch if you have any questions regarding your order.

Order Processing

All our mail is now being sent by Royal Mail tracked services. Changing to Royal Mail’s tracked services will mean that we need to make an adjustment to how we process your order. There will now be a daily cut off at 16:00. Orders received before 16:00 will be processed for shipping the following morning on a 48 hour tracked service (the depot closes at 11 am and we drop orders received from the day prior at 07:00). Orders placed after 16:00 will be processed the following day. Royal Mail’s Hull depot is closed on Wednesday. Therefore, orders received on after 08:00 am on a Tuesday will be shipped on Thursday mornings to accommodate this.


COVID-19 General Policies

We want to keep you up to date with our most recent business plans surrounding COVID-19 and its impact on our operation. We will be using this page to post the most current information we have and will update it regularly as information and procedures change in the coming weeks.

Katie and I are working hard to keep our business 100% operational through these challenging and uncertain times.

I am still roasting weekly. Both our staff have been asked to remain at home so that Katie and I can minimise the risk to them. Katie and I are therefore managing the roast production ourselves under strict, enhanced hygiene measures as set out by the Government.

With a reduction in roasted output through the closure of Beverley market, the Humber Bridge market and our clients in the cafe, bar and restaurant industry, I have made a temporary adjustment to our Roast Policy. We will now ship coffee that is up to 10 days from roast.

We have applied a Free Shipping threshold of £20 to all our orders placed online but you are still able to select other paid delivery services, if you wish. The carrier will be Royal Mail and we will be using their Tracked 48 postage service.

  1. Hi James. Your key worker role is vitally important to keep us supplied with freshly roasted beans. Do not want to resort to purchasing out of date coffee beans from supermarkets!!! On a serious note, assume as you are operating as normal, you will be at Beverley market on Saturdays? As I understand, the market is open for food only. Thanks, must get back to work duties now.

      I hope all is well? Unfortunately, the market is cancelled for the foreseeable future. There is talk of putting together a food only delivery service curated by East Riding council. However, this is not yet up and running. I’ll use this daily update blog post to inform people of when the market will be reopened for business, or when the delivery service gets off the ground.

      Until we’re back to ‘normal’ operation, it’s online only. But at least we have that!
