The 2009 Beverley Food Festival has now passed, so I thought I’d take the oppourtunity to thank all those who came to visit us at our stall! It was an excellent day, blue skies, warm weather (thankfully) and crowds of people that I have never seen in Beverley before! I hope that those of you who purchased our beloved coffee, went home and enjoyed a cup or two and enjoyed it enough to see you all again at our regular Saturday market.
Thank you once again,
James & Katie
The Blending Room
The Blending Rom are setting a small competition for this Sunday’s Beverley Food Festival 2009. Using the picture above, try and name the different single estate coffee beans that are blended together to make our Beverley Blend and if you are correct, you will receive a free 125g bag of the blend as your prize!
The Blending Room
This Sunday (4th October 2009) will be the first time The Blending Room will be present at two markets on the same day! So far, it has been a logistical nightmare trying to organise family to help us run both the Humber Bridge monthly market and the Beverley Food Festival! None the less, we shall be doing our best to be as informative as ever when it comes to your beloved cup of coffee!
So, a little bit about the Humber Bridge monthly market. This event runs on the first Sunday of every month and is packed full of local producers from around East Yorkshire. It is an excellent way of cutting out the “middle man” and buying direct from the producers themselves. The market starts at 8:30am and continues until 1pm, so a pretty short day for us, which is a nice thing to have on a Sunday!
October’s Humber Bridge market, will only be the second that The Blending Room have attended, so do come along and support us there! An exciting development may be revealed on Sunday (a new blend added to our list), all we have to do is spend this evening coming up with our “Yorkshire Blend”. A strong coffee to match any “hardy Yorkshireman’s” taste buds.
We shall report on our “day of blending” in due course.
We have just learnt that The Blending Room will be on stall 70 at this weekend’s (Sunday 4th October) Beverley Food Festival 2009. Stall 70 will be located towards the Sow Hill end of Beverley’s Saturday Market place. A map has been included to indicate where Sow Hill is.
As soon as we have more details on the days events, we shall post what we know! The Blending Room looks forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Beverley will come alive on Sunday the 4th October 2009 with the 4th annual instalment of the locally famous food festival. The festival takes place between
9am and 4.30pm, where a fun packed day will be had by all. Stall holders from the region will be selling their local produce, along with entertainers creating a buzz on the streets, as well as a cooking theatre producing gorgeous smells throughout the market and so much more. It is guaranteed to be a real family day out.
The festival will hold over 50 stalls selling a wide range of local produce, which he Blending Room are proud to be part of during our first year in Beverley. We will be selling a wide range of Single Origin coffee beans, specialist tea’s and our usual range of funky drinking accessories. In preparation for the event, we have been busy creating a unique coffee for the Beverley public, aptly named “Beverley Blend” which we have, so far, been given amazing feed back from our Saturday market customers. So, if nothing else this weekend, make sure you come and see us just to get your hands on our Beverley Blend.
